Digital permit for your overnight stay
Stay overnight at Seewlisee: register online, pay, and receive your permit.
Seewlisee is a sensitive natural and alpine grazing area. To keep overnight stays well managed, a valid permit is required for every night. Please plan your hike carefully, respect livestock, pastures, and the alpine farming families, and leave the area exactly as you would like to find it.

Rules and notes
- Late check-in from 18:00 on the day of arrival: CHF 30 per person for the first night.
- Wild camping is only permitted on the assigned area behind the lake.
- The stay is at your own risk.
- No liability is accepted for damage to tents or equipment caused by livestock.
- Fireworks, open fires and disruptive behaviour are not allowed. Only the designated and marked fire pit may be used.
- Toilet needs must only be carried out in the designated toilet.
- All waste must be taken away again (no disposal on site).
- The alpine farming team is responsible for enforcing the rules. Their instructions must be followed.
- The walk up to the alp is demanding and should not be underestimated. Please ensure suitable equipment and check the current weather conditions and possible natural hazards.
- Seewlisee is located above 2000 metres. Outside the alpine season (approx. 15 June to 30 September), the area is not suitable for wild camping due to snow, low temperatures and increased weather-related risks.
